EuroMillions Superdraws
EuroMillions Superdraws and Event Draws are an exciting part of playing in this particular lottery. These are special drawings where the jackpot is set to a fixed, guaranteed prize amount, most commonly 100 million euros but this number has risen to 130 million euros on a few occasions that are referred to as Event Draws.
These huge jackpots are set at regular intervals, usually twice per year and what distinguishes between them is the fact that a Super Draw jackpot that is not won will rollover to the drawing, while an Event Draw jackpot prize is distributed between the winners in the next tier below – who have matched 5 main numbers plus 1 Lucky Star.
As mentioned before, EuroMillions Superdraws generally take place twice a year but the dates are not fixed as the lotteries organizers want to maintain an element of surprise when it comes to those big and exciting prize jackpots.
The first Super Draw took place on February 9th 2007 and since then we have had the following SuperDraws and Event Draws:
October 4th 2011 – €100 million Superdraw
May 10th 2011 – €100 million Superdraw
October 1st 2010 – €100 million Supedraw
February 5th 2010 – €100 million Superdraw
September 18th 2009 – €100 million Superdraw
March 6th 2009 – €100 million Superdraw

February 8th 2008 – €130 million Event Draw
September 28th 2007 – €130 million Event Draw

EuroMillions Superdraws are one of the many things that make this lottery great and have played their part in generating some of the most memorable Euro Millions record jackpot wins the world has ever seen.
